I am a huge fan of well designed products that pay attention to all the small details, so it is not wonder that I love these wedding field guide invitations by urban influences.
These wedding invitations are fun and very unique. They also help to inform the viewer of the couples story and personality. The designer really did think outside of the box.

Have you ever wondered how you have accumulated so much stuff? Well I have, and seeing these photos by photographer Huang Qingjun and Ma Hongjie, makes me wonder how much space I would need to display my possessions. These two photographers went around photographing Chinese families in front of their houses with all of their possessions displayed outside.
Coming up the One Of A Kind show in New York and Chicago, the perfect place to find unique Christmas gifts for your loved ones. I would really love to go myself and check out all the wonderful designs and products, unfortunately I might not be able too.

Today is another incredibly hot and sweltering day in Toronto, but great for taking photos. So hopefully when I have made more pieces, I will be able to take some fun shots of them. As for this very random post, I have decided to show you guys a picture of a very interesting product I found on my discovery and learning the skills of metal work.
Here is a product called Kool Jool, it is an insanely bright goopy pink. It is designed to protect certain semi-precious stones during the soldering and heating process. I took a picture to post up for you guys when I was using it for the first time.
I was lucky enough the first time that I applied it properly and did not burn my stones, however I did fail on soldering the joint I wanted as I was being very cautious of the stones.
Note: The pink goop gets everywhere, and it is a very messy process. I however don’t mind getting a little down and dirty.
I have to admit that these past few days I have been pretty bad with posting on my blog, but good news is today is the day I post the next 5 great treasuries. So stay tuned for that posting.
For now here is an interesting little story. Au Yeung Pin Chi a paper crafter who creates paper effigies in the shape of Gucci purses, Wayfarers and designer sneakers! These paper products are targeted to people who have died young, are fashion forward and brand obsessed.
Why create paper Gucci Purses?, Well incinerating paper symbols is part of the Chinese custom, to honor the dead and to deliver them to the deceased.
Making paper effigies of trend items makes death seem less frightening.

How interesting is it that we now create designer good for the dead? I have to admit I would want one of Au Yeungs paper effigies, as I cannot afford the real thing.
These days I have been doing a lot of exploration within different groups and sites, which has been very inspirational, and has resulted in my discoveries of various talented craftsman.
To be honest, I am very excited to be part of such a creative community on etsy, and each day is a new adventure. On that note I thought I would bring forth a seller whose work I just fell in love with. It brought out the little nerd in me and shed a new light on what it means to be squeaky clean.
